Caroline Pao went undefeated to win the first qualifier on the newly formed New England Women's Classic 9 Ball Tour at Country Club USA in Chelmsford, MA.
Pao won the hot-seat with a 7-2 win over Stacey Lantz. Pao jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Lantz was able to get on the scoreboard with two wins.
Lantz then went on to lose 7-4 to Erica Testa on the one-loss side. The match was tied 3-3, before Lantz made a couple errors allowing Testa to take control of the match.
The final match between Pao and Testa was another close match early with neither player willing to give an inch. In the end, it was Pao with table runs in the last two games to score the 7-4 victory.
The New England Women's Classic 9-Ball Tour will be at Boston Billiard Club in Boston, MA on July 18th for a mini-tournament.
