Pat McNally Delivers at NE Players Tour

Pat McNally

A field of fifty-pool enthusiast made their way to Drexeline Billiard Club in Drexel Hill Pennsylvania to participate in tour stop #13. The single day action started at 12:00 noon with many new arrivals making an early mark. Scott Freeman, Samuel Quinzi, Robert Merklein and Joe DiPietro cashed in their first appearance. In addition to the new talent there were eight top ten-point leaders attending.

The last event held at Drexeline Billiard Club saw Bob Maidhof defending his home court to win tour stop #1. This event looked like a repeat. Winning six straight matches including a hill-to-hill victory over Pat McNally, Bob Maidhof waited in the hot seat while the remainder of the field battled it out. Dave Daya, Paul Robinson, Matt Krah, and Eddie Abraham had a great showing in the event. These players finished in the top six places.

Pat "Express" McNally from Scranton Pennsylvania won six matches including a marginal win over Eddie Abraham to earn his way to the final match with Bob Maidhof. In the finals, Bob Maidhof from Drexel Hill Pennsylvania took the early lead. Pat McNally quickly countered and regained the lead 7-3. With a barrage of powerful breaks and awesome shot making skills, Pat McNally never looked back as he closed out the set for his third victory 9-5.

Pat McNally started his pool playing days when he was fourteen years old in Scranton Pennsylvania. Idle Hour Lanes, Gibs, and Boros were the billiardrooms he practiced in hours and days at a time. He grew up playing straight pool and ran his first 100 balls before the age of twenty-one. Pat's mentors Gib Salerno and Jim Rempe helped polish his skills throughout the beginning years. Now in his 30's, he has accomplished a standard of excellence in the sport we all love. This came through years of dedication and many hours of practice. To be the best you must believe in yourself and have the motivation to do so! Pat you are one of the best and one thing is clear, "The mailman always delivers"!
