Reyes and Deuel for Derby One Pocket Title

Efren Reyes and Corey Deuel

Corey Deuel is now all that stands between Efren Reyes and a repeat as Derby City Classic One Pocket Champion.

Reyes, known as possibly the best One Pocket Player in the game today, is still undefeated going into the finals against Deuel Friday night at 7:00 PM EST. Reyes undefeated streak has looked in danger multiple times in the late rounds of the tournament, but he has always pulled through. David Matlock led Reyes 2-0 on Wednesday night, but couldn't put the match away and lost 3-2. Again on Thurdsay night, Reyes looked to be in trouble trailing Tony Chohan 2-1 but Chohan came up short on shape and ended up losing the match 3-2.

Deuel has already suffered one loss, but scored wins over Jeremy Jones and Bob Hercik in the late rounds on Thursday.

The 9-Ball Division is now down to a little over 200 players with matches scheduled on Friday.
