Schmidt three-peats at Corner Pocket in Kenner

John Schmidt

John Schmidt should consider relocating to Kenner Louisiana and just playing at the Corner Pocket. In three SE Open 9-Ball Tour events at the room, Schmidt has won all three and only lost two matches (both to room owner Jamie Farrell). This time Schmidt got by Farrell on the winners side and then took the hot-seat with a 9-6 win over Scotty Townsend.

Townsend them had a short stay on the left side of the board as he defeated SE Open Tour director Tommy Kennedy 9-6 to earn the rematch with Schmidt in the finals.

The extended final set was another close one, with Schmidt earning an 11-9 win over Townsend for first place.

Schmidt earned $700 for first, while Townsend settled for $500 in second place prize money. Kennedy and Farrell filled out the top four spots.

Kennedy thanked Patrick Brown for helping run the event and room owners Jamie and Glen for hosting another fantastic tour stop.

The SE Open 9-Ball Tour will be at Numan's Billiards in Johnson City, TN on April 2nd - 3rd for their next event.
