Nick van den Berg took Team Europe on his shoulders and gave his squad a 5-4 overall lead after a dominating 6-1 win over USA's Johnny Archer.
Nick never trailed in the match and was ahead 2-0 before Archer was able to notch a game for his side.
The story of the match was van den Berg capitalizing on Archer errors as Archer gave up ball in hand three different times and finally missed a six ball in the final rack, allowing van den Berg to bring the match to a merciful quick finish for Archer.
The win by van den Berg was the first Euro win for the day and gives them a 5-4 lead with one match left to play today. The final match will feature Rodney Morris and Shane Van Boening vs Ralf Souquet and Chris Melling.
