Bourbon St. Bar & Billiards, Winnipeg MB hosted a $1000 added 9 Ball tournament on March 8, 2009. The tournament attracted an outstanding field of 32 players. In the end it was current Canadian national 8 ball champion Felix Beardy besting local hotshot Jarrod Spence in a hill-hill match. Other noteworthy players in attendance were former Canadian 9 Ball champion Randy Pruden, Berry McLean, Mike "Red" Prevost, Wayne Saunderson, Ron Graham and father and son tandem of Blake and Jim Martel.
