Mannino suffers heart attack at North American Tour Opener

The opening stop on the North American Tour is underway at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, FL with a field of 42 players including Johnny Archer, Corey Deuel, Luc Salvas, Mike Davis, Charles Bryant, Rodney Morris, Charlie Williams, Tommy Kennedy, Jeremy Jones, Danny Basavich, Gabe Owen, John Schmidt and Santos Sambajon.

Opening round matches are underway and the news on day one is the forfeit by Nick Mannino to Corey Deuel. Mannino was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Sunday. He is in good condition and will be taken to Pensacola Florida on Monday.

The biggest upset on day one was Larry Nevel dropping an 11-10 decision to Steve Cox in the first round. Cox earned a second round match with Timmy Hall, while Nevel will face either Evan Broxmeyer or Jimmy Court.
