Black Widow to pounce on Windy City Open

Jeanette Lee, better known as "The Black Widow" has announced that she will be competing in several scheduled billiard tournaments during The 4th Annual Windy City Open at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL beginning on January 4th , 2006. In addition to participating in the main event, Lee will be performing challenge matches all week where players can take their best shot at beating her.

Ms. Lee is, by far, the most sought after personality in Women's professional billiards worldwide.

Jeanette was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 13 and now serves as the National Spokesperson for the Scoliosis Association, Inc. She is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Women's Sports Foundation. After playing pool for three and a half years, Jeanette turned pro in January 1993, and in less than two years became the No. 1 ranked player in the world by the WPBA. In 1994 she was named WPBA Player of the Year by both Billiards Digest and Pool & Billiard Magazine. Then in 2000 she authored The Black Widow's Guide to Killer Pool, which is a best seller within the pool industry.
