Panju Takes Maryland State Title

Champion Billiards Room Owner Gary Allen, Zinnie Panju, Supadra Boonpasook, and Michael Ricciardella

Zinnie Panju almost didn't get a chance to win the Maryland State 9-ball title. The original venue was cancelled at the last minute, but with the resourcefulness of Ceci Strain, Linda Shea, and Champion Billiards Café owner Gary Allen, the event was rescheduled at Champion Billiards Café in Fredericksburg, MD. Thank you Ceci, Linda, Gary, and Michael Ricciardella who posted up the money for the WPBA Qualifier!!

Zinnie ran undefeated through the field posting wins over Kathleen Lawless, My Hanh Lac, Sherry Pouncey, and Buffy Jolie. She then won the hot seat against Supadra Boonpasook with a 7-1 score.

Supadra posted wins over Erica Testa, Linda Shea, and Sharon O'Hanlon before being sent to the left side of the chart by Zinnie. Supadra then won 7-2 over Buffy Jolie before meeting up with Zinnie again for the finals.

Zinnie would post up 4 games before Supadra got onto the scoreboard. Supadra then answered with 4 games before Zinnie reached the hill. Zinnie won 7-4 to claim the title. Congrats to Zinnie Panju!!
