Tullos and Rhee win Sterling Falcon Cue Stop

Frank Tullos

The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour drew a field of 71 players for their open division to the First Break Café in Sterling VA this weekend where Frank Tullos went undefeated for the win.

Tullos played Jim Henson for the hot-seat and came through under pressure as he broke and ran the final rack at hill-hill for the match win. Henson then eliminated Ryan McCreesh 7-6 on the one-loss side to set up another shot at Tullos. Tullos was too strong in the finals though, as he cruised to the 9-4 win.

Tullos collected $1100 for first, while Henson settled for $700 in second place prize money. McCreesh and Fred Scott filled out the top four spots.

The ladies division drew 21 players and saw more domination by the #1 ranked female player, Sueyen Rhee. Rhee defeated Jennifer Duncan 7-3 for the hot-seat, then #2 ranked Malea Haacke eliminated Duncan 5-1. The finals were all Sueyen as she defeated Haacke 7-2 for the win.

Rhee collected $325 for the win, and Haacke took home $225 for second. Duncan and Tommie Ann Keyser filled out the top four spots.

The Falcue Cue 9-Ball Tour will be at Fast Eddie's Billiard Café in Alexandria, VA for their next event on August 2nd - 3rd.
