Brian Tyler wins Viking Amateur Event

December 29th, 2007 The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour hosted a stand alone Amateur Tournament at Mr. Cues II in Atlanta, GA. A total of 60 players attended and the event had a total prize fund of $3580 which included 7 pool league discounts and 5 free entries.

The event was won by Brian Tyler who made his way thru the top half of the bracket undefeated. Brian faced and defeated the following competitors T.F. Whittington 7-5; David English 7-0; Ron Gilbert 7-3; Lance Ireland 7-4; Pat Cooper 7-4; David Tresh 7-5; in the finals Tyler defeated Jason Steman 7-3 taking 1st place in the Amateur Event.

Jason Steman began his bid for 2nd place by defeating Marty Jenning 7-6; Billy Tyler 7-5; he was sent to the one loss side by Travis Dorn 7-4; where he defeated Henry Cofer 5-3; Bryant Walker 5-4; Lance Ireland 5-4; Jesse Middlebrook 5-3; Dustin Byrd 5-4; Travis Dorn 5-2; and David Trest 5-2 only to be defeated by Brian Tyler in the Finals.
