Mike Davis accepts the cash from Nick Prinsloo

Mike Davis came back from the one-loss side to defeat Pooky Rasmeloungon twice and win his third Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour stop at Great Slates in Cambridge, MD.

Davis, the top player on the tour points list, lost to Shaun Wilkie 9-7 late on Sunday but came back with a 7-6 win over Keith McCready, another 7-6 win over Wilkie to earn a spot in the finals.

After Wilkie defeated Davis, he lost 9-6 to Pooky Rasmelongon for the hot-seat.

Pooky may have been unbeaten in the hot-seat, but Davis was not intimidated. He beat Rasmeloungon 9-3 and then 9-7 for the tournament win.

Davis pocketed $1200 for the win, while Rasmeloungon settled for $800 for second. Wilkie and McCready filled out the top four spots.

The field of 56 players in the open division was joined by 10 players in the women's division.

While ladies point leader Sueyen Rhee was in Oregon celebrating her newly earned touring pro status, Amanda Smith was celebrating her first win on the Falcon Cue Tour.

Smith lost to Amanda Page 7-1 for the hot-seat, but came back with a 5-3 win over Pauline Mattes on the one-loss side and then scored a 7-3 and 7-2 win over Page in the finals for the win.

Smith won $350 for the win, while Page took home $210 for second. Mattes and Evelyn Hazlett filled out the top four spots.
