The evening rounds at the Great Southern Billiard Tour's Players 10-Ball Championship at King Street Billiards in Fayetteville, North Carolina continues to play into the early morning hours as some of the one-pocket matches appeared to have held up the ten-ball division play, more updates tomorrow!

So far this evening, the ten-ball matches saw the end of WPBA player Melissa Little as she took her second loss from Brandon Shuff 9-4, leaving Rousey all on her own on the one-loss side as the only woman left.  In addition, several other names of interest were knocked out of the event including:  Sam Monday was defeated by Ronnie Wiseman 9-6, Sparky Ferrell took a hit from Redgie Cutler 9-4, Mike Wong overcame Jay Calhoun on the hill 9-8, and Charlie Bryant ended Chris Bartrum's race 9-7.  Unfortunately for Barry Rogers, his luck ran out against Chris Adams this evening.  As you recall, Rogers received two forfeits today from monster players Deuel and Joyner, but he didn't have much going on against Adams losing 9-2.  And late in the evening, Larry Nevel was sent home at the hands of Mike Davis 9-5. Ten-ball one-loss side brackets will continue at noon on Friday.

The winner's side matches pitted Shane Van Boening v. John Morra, Marc Vidal v. Shannon Daulton, Beau Runningen v. Scott Lewis, and Jonathan Pinegar v. Tony Chohan.  The final four sets had a theme – the final score was 9-6 for three out of the four with Van Boening, Runningen, and Pinegar coming out on top.  Daulton threw down the gauntlet on Vidal 9-7 as well.  Friday the final four players left undefeated in the ten-ball division will start up at 7 pm with scheduled matches between Daulton v. Van Boening and Runningen v. Pinegar.

The one-pocket event kicked off on Thursday as well with a player's meeting at noon and play starting at 6 pm.  This $5,000 guaranteed added division results started off with a few upsets – Billy Incardona was bested by Carlos Vieira 4-3, Cliff Joyner moved on against Jamison Neu 4-3, Wade Crane pushed past Sidney Champion 4-3, Sarah Rousey threw her name in the hat last minute and stole her first match 4-2 over Ed Herrmann, and Larry Kressel dominated Shawn Miller 4-1. The one-pocket division will get started again on Friday at 2 pm.
