Day 4 of the 2010 Derby City Classic wraps up with roughly 160 players remaining in the one-pocket division from the original 289. Tomorrow continues with round 3.
The one-pocket challenge, organized by Jay Helfert, concluded with some last minute high runs. The $50 entry gets players three tries in five innings each. $1,600 was added to this event. $1,000 from Greg Sullivan and $600 from various other contributors. High run for the first two days were in the thirties until Minnesota's fav, Beau Runningen shot a 48 to hold the lead for most of the day. In the eleventh hour, John Schmidt topped that score with a 53 before Alex Pagulayan came in with a 55 saying, “I just want to beat John's score.”

The FatBoy 10-Ball Challenge kicks off with 16 of the finest names in pool. FatBoy himself arrived on Sunday to attend the festivities. He's graciously adding $5,000 to the event. The $1,500 entry race-to-15 single-elimination tournament kept spectators up late sweating matches. One round will be completed tonight and another one tomorrow night.
