'The Lion' Alex Pagulayan has captured the hot-seat at the Joss NE 9-Ball Tour Finale at Accu-Billiards in New Bedford, MA.
Pagulayan defeated Santos Sambajon to get to the match for the hot-seat and then defeated Jose Parica 9-8 for the hot-seat. Pagulayan is now guaranteed at least second place and will have to be beaten twice in the finals.
The one-loss side is now down to Francisco Bustamante playing Jose Parica for a place in the finals. Bustamante lost to Parica Sunday morning, but has scored wins over Karen Corr, Jarrod Clowery, Sambajon and Tom D'Alfonso to get to this semi-final match.
The eventual winner of the tournament will pocket $5000 for the weekend, with second place taking home $3400.
