Kennedy stands his ground on home Port

Tommy Kennedy would prove to be the man to beat at Veterans Billiards on Sunday 31st August for the Poison Tours $1000 Added open event. Kennedy would make it to the finals with little trouble with solid wins over Albert Baker 7-2, Mark Coats 7-3, and Russian Player Tomick 7-2, Tony Crosby 7-3 and then a very strong 7-1 win over Hunter Lombardo 7-1 to capture the hotseat.

The one loss side would see two players looking very strong, Devon Rogers who had took a 2nd round loss to Tony Crosby would go on to beat Tom Guastella 6-5, Tim Moss 6-3, Normand Pincince 6-3, Mark Coats 6-4 before taking his 2nd loss on the day again to Crosby 6-4. Crosby would now face David Uwate who also had taken an early 1st round loss to Devon Rogers 7-6 he then would go on to beat Burl Curtwright 6-3, The Russian Tomick 6-0, Travis Laswell 6-2 Louis Altese 6-4 his run would also be stopped by Tony Crosby. Crosby would then go onto defeat Hunter Lombardo 6-4 to set up the final match with Kennedy.

The final would prove to be a very tight on with both player making errors and trading racks up to 6-6 Just when it looked like Crosby would get to the hill first a scratch on the four ball would swing the match in Kennedy's favor and he never looked back as he broke an ran the last game to take the Poison Tour title in his home port at Veterans Billiards.

The Poison Tour would like to thanks Veterans Billiards room owners Josh Blattner and his wife Christina and staff for hosting a great event. Also our title sponsors Poison by Predator cues for their great support.
