The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour is at Snookers Pool & Pub in Southgate MI this weekend with a field of 42 players competing. Snookers is a new stop on the Viking Tour and was recently voted best room in the Detroit area.
Francisco Diaz and Ronnie Wiseman were co-favorites at tournament start, with Caz Mercinkowski (co-owner of Hall of Fame Billiards) picked as another favorite.
Wiseman has cruised through the Saturday matches untouched, while Diaz fell to Mercinkowski 7-5 in his third match of the day.
The final twelve players are coming back Sunday and are all in the money. Check back Sunday evening for a full report.
